Available Training

Training Overview: Deans for Impact Tutor Training Modules are designed for pre-service educators providing tutoring as part of their educator preparation program. Each module follows a research-based sequence that allows tutors to understand, analyze, and apply the concepts covered in the materials. Specifically, tutors build background knowledge by exploring a key concept or practice at work and exploring strategies related to the practice. Tutor training is grounded in real instructional artifacts and tutors complete a culminating activity in response to a real-world example.

Training: Contact us at info@deansforimpact.org for a link to the open access training.

Credentials: Individuals who complete the training can receive a certificate of completion.

Recommendations/Notes: The training modules are intended to be completed in sequence and in full, and while the module content is relevant to all grades and content areas, all examples draw on elementary mathematics concepts using publicly available Hiqh-Quality Instructional Materials. Deans for Impact is developing training versions that leverage elementary literacy content examples and encourages providers to reach out if they are interested in using this training in either content area.

Deans for Impact offers open access synchronous pre- and post-module tasks, targeted feedback, and coaching support, and a summative pre-post assessment aligned to the module training content.
