Tutors receive content-specific training in corresponding coursework while simultaneously providing tutoring. If a tutor has not taken these courses, additional training is  necessary for content knowledge.

Additional training occurs in class as tutors practice creating tutoring sessions and learning specific teaching and intervention strategies. Course instructors provide ongoing support and feedback to tutors throughout tutoring sessions.
